Billed as the spiritual successor to its vaunted E-Type, Jaguar’s F-Type is the company latest, low-slung two-seater. This example is one of 4,069 F-Types made in 2016 and exported to the United States.
This one woman owned example has lived its life in Oklahoma since new with only 5XXX original miles. Finished in desirable glacier white metallic and jet black leather interior with contrasting ivory stitching. Built at Castle Bromwich Assembly in Birmingham, England, it was imported to the United States via Brunswick, Texas and landed at Jaguar Houston North in Houston, Texas. The car was a gift to a prominent neurosurgeon’s wife, who drove it off the showroom floor on October 6, 2016. She only drove it on pleasant days. When not driven, it was stored in a climate-controlled garage. It has been religiously serviced at Bob Moore Jaguar in OK City, with receipts in hand. Factory 5 year warranty is still good through 10/2021.
This example left the assembly line with a bevy of equipment, as befitting a British luxury sports car. The only optional equipment were wheel locks and the LP Frame Package. However, this car is replete with equipment – all-wheel drive, a super performance braking system, and an adaptive dynamic suspension.
Dressed in Glacier White (code 1AQ), the car’s paint and trim are in overall excellent condition, the bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is immaculate, the body-colored bumpers are fit tightly to the rest of the body, the wing mirrors fold in when not in use and the cargo area looks great.
This slinky cat rolls on Pirelli P Zero radials, size 255/35ZR20 in front and size 295/30ZR20 in back. Each tire is mounted on a Gyrodyne alloy wheel and comes complete with red Jaguar-script calipers. The tires are in very good order and the wheels are still fresh.
Under the front-hinged hood is a supercharged 5.0L DOHC 32-valve V-8 engine (code AJ133). It makes 550 horsepower and 502 pounds-feet or torque! It features spray-guided direct-injection, continuously variable intake and exhaust camshaft timing, and a sixth-generation Twin Vortices Series supercharger. The engine also features Denso’s Generation 1.6 Engine Management System. Backing this motor is a ZF QuickShift eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronic active differential.
Driver convenience features include dual-zone automatic climate control, power rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, power locks, power windows, power-folding sideview mirrors, heated and power seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and Xenon headlights with LED signature.
Safety features include dual front and side airbags, emergency brake assist, seatbelt pretensioners, tire pressure monitoring system and dynamic stability control.
Inside, the car is upholstered in Connolly Jet leather with Ivory stitching (code TP17). The bucket seats are in excellent condition and come complete with heat and memory positions for both occupants. The matching Wilton wool carpet is in similar condition, with a matching headliner. A thick, three-spoke steering wheel with a flat-bottom rim, handrests at 10 and 2 o’clock and ancillary controls faces the driver.  The inner door panels and dashboard, along with the center stack, all look as good as the rest of the interior. The center console and shift lever look great. A factory touchscreen infotainment system with navigation completes the interior.
Competition to this Jaguar in 2016 included Aston Martin’s DB9, Audi’s R8, BMW’s M6 Coupe, Bentley’s Continental GT, Chevrolet’s Corvette Z51, Lamborghini’s Huracan, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG GT S, Nissan’s GT-R and Porsche’s 911 Turbo S.
Jaguar fans or anyone who enjoys a fast two-seater with sharp looks and low miles would be remiss if they missed out on this F-Type.
