Beautiful Hand-Painted Japanese Satsuma Vintage Three Legged Jar & Lid Nice

Description

This auction is for a beautiful vintage Japanese pottery three legged Satsuma urn/jar and lid with wonderful colorful and handpainted floral, bird, and butterfly designed pattern as shown in the pictures taken with and without flash. There are also beautiful areas of gilded or gold painted portions of the jar (on the perimeter of the jar and lid, the handles, and the three legs). The overall condition of the jar and lid are nice for its age, with no major chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. For accuracy sake I will mention that the bottom part of the lid’s handle shows what looks like a firing crack in the floral design (see last picture). There also is some minor dirt and ware on the piece which most likely can be cleaned up. There are also some extremely tiny nicks and minor chips on the under side edge of the lid as shown. This area also shows the only writing on the piece in Japanese. The jar stands just a little over 9 inches tall by roughly between 7 and 7 1/4 inches long between the small gold painted handles. The opening across is just a little over 4 1/2 inches. It is a beautiful piece that would look great in anyone’s collection. Please review all pictures carefully as they constitute part of the description.
Due to the amount of increasing claims going unpaid- I will now be forwarding the upaid item cases to Ebay within 2 days after auction end and yes it is allowed!!  For those of you who pay on time don’t take this personally. The shipping amount listed on this auction is only an estimate and the actual amount may be higher or lower than what is listed based on the size of the package and where you live.  I don't prebox and weigh the items ahead of time.  Also I charge a handling fee for bubble wrap and peanuts, etc. and it also covers insurance depending on how much is needed and this is reflected in your shipping cost on the invoice.  Please pay invoice within two days of being received.
