MINERAL SPECIMENS from STERLING HILL, NEW JERSEY - LOT of 4 - FRANKLINITE, ZINCITE, WILLEMITE
Lot of 4 mineral specimens from the New Jersey Zinc Co. Sterling Hill mine. They were collected in the 1970's by a geologist at the mine. I am not certain about fluorescence, as I do not have access to a black light. Also, I am not entirely certain of all the minerals present, but I think I have the major ones listed below:
Specimen 1 - Approximately 4" x 3" x 3". Weight 4 lb 3 oz. Franklinite, zincite and calcite.
Specimen 2 - Approximately 5" x 3" x 3". Weight 4 lb 12 oz. Franklinite, zincite and calcite.
Specimen 3 - Approximately 4" x 3" x 1". Weight 14 oz. Franklinite, zincite, willemite and calcite.
Specimen 4 - Approximately 3" x 2" x 2". Weight 1 lb 3 oz. Franklinite and calcite.
