    Description

Rare unmarked Trim Clip Attachment Fits singer Featherweights and short shanks and slant shanks.  Perfect!
    Thank you
    Athena
, for providing the following wonderful description of the item and for the pic of it in actual use:
Very RARE Thread Trim Clip for the Singer sewing machine
Originally designed for Model 221, 221K, and Free Arm 222K,
but will also work on ALL Singer Slant Shank sewing machines,
    301 401A 403 403A 404 500A 503A and Series 600 & 700 and
    Touch & Sew machines.
The Trim Clip attaches to the Presser Bar by clamping it between
the Presser foot and the presser foot Screw.
It clamps on a bit higher than on a low-shank machine, but works just fine!
    What a WONDERFUL attachment! A real labor-saver!
Too bad this accessory is so hard to find!
When starting to stitch, it's necessary to hold those threads down
    until the seam is started.
With complex seams, sometimes a Seamstress just has to be an acrobat!
    With this HANDY Thread Trim-Clip,
the threads are held in the spring to start sewing the seam, and
your right hand is freed up, 2 guide the fabric or deal with complex seams.
    This is how it works:
Before sliding the fabric under the needle,
pull the ends of the threads up into the spring.
Slide the fabric under the Presser Foot and start sewing.
As the seam pulls away from the needle,
the beginning threads pull out of the spring, which cuts them,
and you are ready to start the next line of stitching!
The last picture shows a Singer trim clip attachment  in its original packaging. That package is not included. The picure is there only to show exactly what the original Singer trimclip attachment looks like
    Thanks for looking.
