This is a rare large (approximately 6" tall) vintage 1964 Dam Things Captain Lightning (aka Flash) super hero troll
doll in its original painted on outfit with felt cape and mask (like Batman). It is marked "Dam Things Est 1964" on the bottom of one foot and "Design Dam" on the bottom of the other foot. It is in very good used condition. There are some discolorations on him here and there on the body paint, on the felt cape, and on the lower portion of his face (see photos for details). The skin tone on the bottom part of his face is a little different from the upper portion of his face. It maybe a chemical reaction of the vinyl to the paint used on his body, but I don't know what the actual cause of it is. However, it is not a huge distraction. I hadn't noticed it until taking the photos for this auction. The felt cape has a few discolorations where some areas darker than others. And his body paint also shows some discolorations here and there. The body paint looks like it is a dark navy blue or dark purple, and there are some areas that look like they are black. In my opinion it isn't that noticeable, but zoom in on the photos to see and judge for yourself. Often discolorations are common on older trolls from the 1960's, and this one is no exception. Although he is not perfect, he is still a very rare find, especially in this larger size.
Take a good look at the photos for the details, and ask questions if you have any. I think I covered everything, but I am not an expert, and I may have missed something that is important to you. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
This item is coming from my smoke-free home, however, it came to me second-hand. So I have no idea what it may have been exposed to over the years. All I can say is that I do not notice any smoke smells or any other strange odors.
These items are old and have been played-with, so do keep that in mind when bidding.
