    Description

Here is an attachment for a vintage Willcox & Gibbs sewing machine, possibly incomplete.
This auction features a sewing machine accessory which I believe is a very early tucker, or tuck marker, by Willcox & Gibbs.  There are 2 round ID stamps, side by side on one section of this piece.  One says, "Willcox & Gibbs Sew Machine CO New York" around the edge, with the appropriate symbol in the middle.  The other says, "H.G. Goodrich Chicago Ill" around the edge and "Pat. Oct. 28. 73" in the middle, referring to 1873, of course.  I don't know whether this is the entire original piece, or only part of it.
I have NO IDEA which machine this item may fit.  I have included a COPY of a page from a Willcox & Gibbs manual which shows an "Improved Tuckmarker" patented 1904.  The tucker in the picture resembles the piece here, and is included for the new owner's information.  I've also added a screw from my stash which fits the opening for a "guide screw" pictured on this page, in HOPES that it may also work on the threads of the machine it's intended to fit.
Please examine all the pictures carefully to asses the condition of this item.  I consider this attachment to be in
    good to very good used
condition, considering their probable age, although it MAY BE incomplete.  There is a lot of shine on what's here, with a few small marks of wear, age and use.

    Payment and Shipping
PLEASE NOTE THAT USPS HAS RAISED RATES ON SHIPPING AGAIN, AND I'M PASSING THIS INCREASED COST ON TO MY BUYERS.  ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE RATE IS HIGHER FOR LONGER DISTANCES NOW, EVEN ON FIRST CLASS AND PRIORITY.
Payment is required within 2 days of the auction ending.  Please be courteous and treat Buy-It-Now as Pay-It-Now.
    NOTE:
    Tennessee
residents must pay 9.50% sales tax - I pay these once a month.  Also note that most states now require eBay to collect and remit taxes directly.
CHECK FOR POSSIBLE SHIPPING OPTIONS WHEN CHECKING OUT!
Shipping is to the continental USA, usually within 1 mailing day of receiving confirmation of payment.  I will also ship to
    Alaska or Hawaii

Shipping costs are based on USPS rates, plus the cost of packaging materials - I make no money on shipping.  I also pack even small, light items securely and am charged the minimum USPS cost for a package.  I will offer alternatives which can save money, such as parcel select or media rates, where appropriate, buyer's choice.  My goal is
    happy customers!
