The XL tent is designed to be used on the Smittybilt Scout Trailer but can be used on your vehicle with a
Flat Roof Rack that can handle and distribute the weight
.  Due to legal and safety reasons they (Smittybilt) cannot recommend that you use the XL tent on top of a vehicle.  Due to the large size of the unit and the weight of the unit.  Some states have laws limiting the weight you can carry on top of your vehicle while in motion.  You can see the XL on 2 different vehicles.  There is a Cherokee that has had a special custom Flat Roof Rack installed that helps to distribute the weight of the 140 Pound XL Tent and the people inside of the tent.  The other is a white Jeep with the SRC rack.  It can be done, but for legal reasons they cannot say it should be done.  You can physically mount the XL on top of your vehicle, but they cannot recommend it.  You would need to check your local laws, and then design a Flat Roof Rack that can handle and distribute the weight.
Shipping
All products should be inspected for quality and shipping damage when signing for tent with shipping company. In the event that your tent is damaged in shipping notify us immediately so we can get a replacement out to you and start up the warranty process and summit a claim. You MUST make a note of the damage with the shipping company when you sign for delivery. All products must be returned in original boxes and not used.
Returns
If you decide you don't want to keep the tent and need to return them for any reason besides damage there will be a 15% restocking fee charged on all returns. The end customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will be given for the product value only.
