Description
WW2 / WWII Dutch Model G Gas MaskThese were used by the Dutch Army from the early 1930's clear into the late 40's, and are very collectable among lots of Militaria groups.
Model G masks in particular are scarce nowadays due to the Netherlands new rule of discarding hazardous materials (including these relic masks).
This mask in particular has been cleaned up a bit, and was a restoration project that essentially just needs to be resembled at this point.
STRAPS: Excellent condition, no loss in saturation of color, and fully supple.
MASK: Rubber is in excellent condition, and fully supple. Very little rubber rotting around exterior of lenses. Internal eye divider is missing.
HOSE: Excellent condition and fully supple. Only missing it's bands, and twine string. These are parts for restoration.
FILTER: No rusting, and one very minor dent.
Keep in mind: Model G's are exceedingly difficult to come by in this condition as these masks were produced in natural rubber, which unfortunately tended to rot rather quickly.
Most of these masks nowadays are in very poor condition often rubber hardened, straps completely devastated, hoses ripped, and filters dented to heck.
Not only the majority being practically destroyed by the elements, these masks are near impossible to find outside of the Netherlands, and even from within, these masks are simply becoming more rare from recycling materials.
