*This device is
normally
open from:
120v "L1 Hot", to the blower fan motor
.
The heat sequencer is activated by the units (thermostatically
controlled) gas valve relay.
On call for heat, 24v from a transformer powers the main gas valve and the 15SH1.
*The fan is not powered yet for 30sec as the unit would blow cold air and
possibly
blow out the pilot.
If pilot sensor is true, the gas valve can open and be ignited by the pilot.
The burner flames are drawn through the combustion chamber by the
exhaust pipe draft.
Within 30sec the 15SH1 powers on the fan motor.
Within 90sec the chamber temp should rises to the operating temperature.
If so, the 15SH1 can then continue to power the fan, heating the area.
When the room thermostat is is satisfied the unit relay breaks power to the gas valve and the 15SH1.
The main gas valve closes but the 15SH1 continues the power the fan motor, cooling off the unit.
*If the burner chamber does not make temperature after 90sec the 15SH1 breaks power to the fan motor.
